I will govern for the common good says Uduehi

Former Permanent Secretary in the old Bendel State and top contender in the 2015 gubernatorial race of Delta state, Dr. (Mrs.) Esther Uduehi has urged all delegates to consider her and give her the opportunity to govern for the common good.
Speaking during her consultation visits to the PDP executives in Ethiope West, Sapele, Warri North and Okpe local government areas, she stated that her focus will be on wealth creation in the state, adding that having served in various capacities, from local government to the federal level, she decided to throw her hat into the ring to contest for governorship of Delta State because she is best positioned for the exalted position.
The governorship hopeful noted that if elected, she will run the government for the common good of the people by introducing an economic committee comprising of representatives from all the local governments in the state to deliberate on the yearnings of the people of their local government so as to reflect same in the budget of the state
She also noted that Delta state is a Complex state and there was the need to elect technocrats to be in the alms of affairs of the state. She added that with all her experience which included: first woman to run a local government; sole administrator of the then Bendel broadcasting, head of various departments during her days in the civil service, she believes that if given the mandate, she will bring all her experience garnered so far to bear. Divyn Uduimoh She II praised Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan’s Delta beyond oil initiatives and promised to consolidate on that area so as to take the youths off the streets through gainful employment so that an average Delta youth will not go about begging politicians for what to eat.
“If given the mandate, I will run the state for the common good of the people. My focus will be more on wealth creation by taking the youths off the streets through gainful employment where an average Deltan youth can be on his own without going about begging money from politicians.
In Ethiope West, PDP Chairman of Ethiope West local government, Hon. Felix Oritsgbone, responded that Uduehi is the kind of leader Deltans has been yearning for going by her track record. Also, Okpe PDP chairman, Chief Sir Cosmos Opuru, prayed for God to see her through her ambition. They promised that they will convey the message to all stakeholders in their various local governments and noted that Dr. Uduehi is the right person for the job.
